Both Selkirk variants which can be shown as pedigree pets, (although for variants their type has no relevance as they are judged purely on temperament and condition) , and Selkirk Rex curlies.

We took Scooby and Angel to this show with both just old enough to enter- Scooby as an adult and Angel as a pedpet Scooby 2nd in Open 3 x 1sts and 1x 3rd in side classes 1ST MRS A MINSHALL’S AMAZOLOU SCOOBYSNAX (79L 39d) M 27/9/10 – Red Tipped Long Haired Selkirk Rex who has come on splendidly since I last saw him as a kitten. Legs are medium in length standing on paws that are round and firm. Body is more rectangular than square and he has good boning. Well rounded head with good width between his ears which are tufted at the tips with curly furnishings, medium in size and fit into the contours of his head. Cheeks are well rounded with a muzzle which is medium in width with well padded whisker pads giving a rectangular appearance and is clearly visible beyond the cheeks when viewed in profile. Nose is short broad and straight with a downward slant. Large well opened round eyes that are set nicely apart. Bite is level with top teeth being a little concave. Coat is thick and dense; it is arranged in loose individual curls and gives a lovely soft and plush feel. The whole coat shows evidence of the Rex gene. Tail is in proportion to his body.

1st Open Best of Colour 1 BIC MINSHALL’S ANGEL - what a little stunner, four months old. She was sitting in her pen waiting to be admired. She was so beautiful with her long, soft, superbly prepared black golden shaded coat. So happy and gentle, she just wanted me to stand and cuddle her while she purred for me. Then she decided she would like to stand on the trolley so I could admire her. When I put her back into her pen she wanted me to stay and play with her. A smashing lass, in excellent condition.
